The members of our firm love and respect wildlife and wild places and care about our planet and the environment. We take our name from Caddo Lake, which is both a lake and bayou on the border between Texas and Louisiana, named after the Caddo Indian tribe that lived there until the late 19th century. The Caddoans, as they were called, used the word “teyshas,” the origin of the term, “Tejas,” meaning “friends” or “allies,” which gave The Lonestar State its name. “Friendship” remains as the state motto of Texas today.

 

Caddo Lake is the only natural lake in Texas. It is a protected wildlife refuge and one of the world’s largest cypress forests. The area is a protected wetland, a state park, and National Heritage Preservation site.

 

We chose this name for our firm to express our love for the great outdoors, as well as our expression of pride to call Texas our home.
